Andy. I had no intention of portraying Pauline as a maverick, quite the contrary, I admire the way she has quietly gone about her crusade for recognition. Ever since I first met her I have been consistently supportive, which is more than you can say about the few who have befriended her purely for literary copy. I had the pleasure of transporting Pauline's sailing dinghy from Moores in Wroxham to Bank Ground Farm for the 1994 AGM, and it was en-route that I interviewed Charlie Jolly and reported his remarks about them being The Amazon Pirates, and how much like Dick Callum young Rawdon was.
