On 2nd September 2000, I was sailing my dinghy on Derwent water when as I neared St. Herberts Island, I was fired at by a group of men and women standing around a small cannon on the Island. They were flying flags with skull and cross bones, also a white flag with a bird device on it. More sinisterly, they had a boat called "Captain Flint" with them.
Being Welsh, my boat was naturally flying the Red Dragon. I can only refer you to the siege in "Treasure Island" to point out the significance of firing upon a National flag.
It would appear that Tars may now be at war with Wales.
Revenge will be extracted next year. Cheers. Owain Glyndwr
