Evgenia was quite right - distribution of the film was awful. I remember begging and bullying my father to take me to see it. We eventually found it was on in a cinema in Basingstoke - an hour or so drive from where he lived in Surrey.
Maybe it was thanks to the efforts we went to, but it was a memorable evening out. I over the film then, and still do (though I also agree with Evgenia's assessment of "Captain Flint"). I also recall that the cinema was quite busy.
