Andy, many many thanks for putting Pauline Marshall's letter up for us to read. Seeing her point of view about what tragically happened so long ago fills another gap in the knowledge about the complex origins of the fictional characters, places and boats Ransome created so skillfully. Please thank Pauline for me. I always loved the character of Peggy who to me was one of the best from the aspect of a character who developed over time, and Pauline shows courage and tenacity to recount what is obviously a very painful memory.
