The problem with latrines is a periodic topic on this forum, one that
must be rehashed every few months. For this particular session of
rehashing, may I note that in PP, they had PRUNE JUICE for breakfast.
That one always bothered me, knowing the consequences of such. Perhaps
they just "held it" for a fortnight. But with PRUNE JUICE? Not
hardly.
(an aside here... Image that, an AMERICAN using a word like "fortnight".
I say, how extraordinary... See? reading Ransome is educational. Just
trying to learn the Mother Tongue that we (USA) seem to have strayed
so far away from. Thought I'd give it a bit of a go...)
