The discussion has continued unabated elsewhere on the Internet, though it has finally drawn to a close over the past few days. I simply decided it was potentially too controversial a topic for TARBoard after the recent mass message removal. Also, that complete TARBoard thread is available as a Word file for anyone who wants to see human nature as it is, warts and all.
