Here's one that puzzled me: in SD, when the Amazons are trying to sneak across the countryside undetected, they don't think to remove their bright red woolly caps, which the Swallows spot easily.
You'd think they'd have a green set for on land. Of course, red caps make great sense when you're in a boat...
