Well yes actually he does, as 'vicar' and 'vicarious' come from the same root, the Latin 'vicarius' meaning a substitute or delegate. We also get 'Vice' as in 'TARS Vice-President' from this, although some people argue that this 'Vice' is the one which grasps something between the jaws very tightly, e.g. the wrong end of a stick. Oops. Well at least we're back on-topic.
