When you say ‘human interaction’ I presume you mean that Club Hut was under-used. If so, then I agree, although I regarded it as something which was worth keeping in case it was needed one day. However I can understand that in terms of time and space it was not ‘earning its keep’ and I suppose it had to go.
But I do ask you to reconsider your total ban on ‘contentious TARS discussion’ on Tarboard. Are you saying that a message ‘TARS is wonderful’ will be left on, but a message ‘TARS is not so wonderful’ will be deleted? Isn’t this a bit like George Orwell’s ‘Two legs bad, four legs good’? I am sure one or two members of the TARS hierarchy will be gleeful at this development. There will now be no public forum for raising any questions as to TARS policy on any matter (apart from the short, annual, ineffective ‘members’forum’ at the AGM).
Nobody wants to see Tarboard full of moaning messages about the TARS management, but surely the occasional message in moderate terms expressing misgivings about something or other would be acceptable. Nobody has to open threads they are not interested in. Meanwhile if Tarboard is to become a propagandist site full of ‘happy campers’ and no cloud in the blue sky, then I’m outa here!
