8 Mushrooms for breakfast
The great English breakfast used to be found in all its glory in weekends at stately homes (which I have never experienced unfortunately). It would include not only mushrooms with the bacon, eggs and sausages but also kidneys, and on separate plates (I hope) kippers (smoked herring) and kedgeree (a rice and smnoked fish dish) all finished with toast and marmalade.

13 Water Divining
My grandfather was able to dowse for water. I never saw him do it as I last saw him nbefore he died when I was about four, but my father has told me of it.

18 Diamond Mining
I don't think that diamonds have been found in South America. The principal sources in the 1930s were South and West Africa, either mines or dredging up alluvial diamonds which have been washed down rivers. More recently diamonds have been found under lakes in Canada's North. In earlier times I believe they were also found in South Asia, India perhaps?
