If you are exceptionally lucky, you can fly over Secret Water on a commercial flight. I have flown regularly from Gatwick to Amsterdam over the past three years, and once - a gloriously sunny day - we flew straight over. It was an incredible experience to see the end-paper map spread out below.
Unfortunately, the normal flight path crosses the coast at Clacton, just before the Naze comes into view.
