that is terrible news. I remember Martin at the last a.g.m. back from his pirate trip overnight to Wildcat Island in the smallest boat in the world. And the way he was always first up to make the tea at Rudyard. And his pride in turning his Fiesta? into a camper van. And his stories about crossing the North Sea in his Yachting World Senior (all of 16 feet long I believe) and his tales of ballet in cities across Europe and his tact and diplomacy and...
I only met him a few times but he was one of those stars whom it is worth joining TARS to meet.
