To everyone who has responded to my question, seeking advice on the best order to read the AR books, and also seeking advice on any other similar suitable books for children. Thanks also to those who have helped me to understand the Peter Duck dilema. I feel Robert is right, and it would have been so much better if we had read Swallowdale prior to reading PD. I found it very difficult to understand PD at first. It all seemed quite 'possible' untill the impossibly freak weather conditions. All thanks to Titties vivid immagination no doubt!
Thank you also to those who kindly contacted me directly. Someone mentioed BEVIS books. Do any other members know of these stories? Thye are just before my time, but certainly sound interesting.
