Selincourt's "Family Afloat" now seems to be OOP, judging from the BOL site. Perhaps TARS could generate enough interest to get it reissued like "The Far Distant Oxus".. Speaking of the latter, I have always thought this 'better' in some ways than AR-- Katherine Hull & Pamela Whitlock didnt have enough skill to write a plot, (and as we have seen in SD, young readers don't really need one), but the emotional content is quite a bit more interesting. There is also light relief with real-life 'civilization' features (e.g. actually going to a restaurant, having fun outside of a sustained goal-driven framework). As I've ranted before, these 3 Oxus books could be 'added' to the AR canon-- are (simulated) rafting trips down Devon rivers feasible, or feasible for TARS ??
