Sounds like a good test for a secure marriage! The Norfolk Broads are a good source of such tales. It amazes me how few accidents there are by the good guys in Ransomes sailing based stories. Swallow hitting a rock and Goblin coming unstuck are two cases I suppose (I'll ignore explosion of vessel (ML)). Did Nancy ever hit a jetty at speed due to a wind shift? Does anyone fancy doing an analysis of "bad sailing practice in SA books"? Over to you, Ed.
