If the 70th Anniversary Climb of Kanchenjunga turns out to be as successful as the 60th Anniversary event it will be worth while being part of it.
The 60th Anniversary Climb took place on 11th August 1991. 263 people took part, not all were Tars when they began the ascent but many became converts and joined when they arrived back at 'Base Camp'.
This particular event raised over £2,700 for the RNIB library for 'Talking Books For The Blind'.
The event was extremely well organised by Mike Peak & Dick Kelsall, and all who took part will never forget Dick's struggle with a tent that refused to stay put. see p50 MM 1/2
