The BS reference is in Chapter 31 where Dick is developing the photograph that Bill and Pete have taken. Pete has never seen a negative before and is confused that the Cachalot appears black in the picture.
"Geewhizz!" he said, "Niggers!"

There is also an example of a musical change of name - Dvorak's string quartet The American was originally called The Nigger.
