This may be more appropriately directed to Austars, but I thought that there may be someone in the TARS universe who may be able to help.
When I was very young in the early 1960s, my father worked for three years in Hobart, Tasmania.
While there he acquired the plans for a 12' wooden sailing dinghy of local design - actually the name, Tamar, suggests that it came from Launceston (as that town is on the Tamar River)and not Hobart (which is on the Derwent)but only Tasmanians would not regard all of the island as being local in relation to everywhere else on it!
The design is quite simple and elegant and was said to be very safe for young children.
I still have the plans, but the construction notes seem to have gone missing.
I would be very interested if anyone give me any history, experiences or other information concerning this class of boat and, in particular, I would greatly appreciate a copy of the construction notes or any other information/advice that might help in constructing the boat.
