Proving of friendship.

Children of their very nature tend to make friends in a mysterious way that is beyond the scope of parents imagination. This was brought home to me when brousing through WH recently to see how Dick and Dorothea had to prove their capacity for being friends with the Swallows and the Amazons, firstly by eliciting their interest by signalling to Mars, secondly by helping build the igloo and finally by showing how well they could skate.
I am sure there are a number of other examples of the "proving of frienship" through the other books.
Let's hope these can also be classified.
