These two songs of which lyrics were written by Peter Dowden, as
well as other sea shanties that appear in the Ransome saga, are
hosted on my web site.
Peter made these songs for his friends in Arthur Ransome Club
(ARC) of Japan. Those who cherished these beautiful songs and
others who loved sea shanties established "ARC Sea Shanty Club"
in late 1997. The husband of one of the club members made the
MIDI data for all these songs you can listen to at the web page.
The members of the ARC Sea Shanty Club sing these songs, both in
English and Japanese (the club made the translation), at special
occasions such as ARC anniversaries and wedding parties of ARC
members.
I like Peter's Wild Cat Island best myself.
