Can anyone recommend a source of a suitable compass that can be used as a ships compass in a dinghy, and that can also be used to take bearings by sighting? I have looked at lots of compasses in orientieering shops, and although thye seem very expensive for the little that they are made from, they do not allow you to read bearing accurately, or set a course to steer to.
