When I hop the twig I hope I shall have a Solemn Requiem Mass in
our local cathedral. The celebrant would be the archbiship accompanied
by two full choirs, one to sing Gregorian chant and the other
polyphonic. The Mass would be the traditional one (in Latin) and the
vestments would be black. The *Dies Irae* would be sung and one of the
hymns must be *For Those in Peril on the Sea.* My remains would be
placed in a solid English oak coffin and I would be interred in a
Cathlic cemetary in English soil within sight of the sea. I instruct
Reter Roche to see to all this. I shall also have the local
Traditional) convent or monastery to have Masses said for my soul
daily for one year and on my anniversary. Having just watched the
final episode of Morse, I lamented his instructions that *any sort of
service is expressly forbidden.* Since it is Peter Roche who initiated
this morbid topic, let him finish it.
