well, its interesting isnt it. Ive been having these discussions on and off for 30 years since I was old enough to read them.

Originally my favorite was PM, but now that i think long and hard, the best on for my money all involve the Ds.

BS is far and away my fav , followed by CC. Theres something about the stories on the broads, maybe the reality of it all, not that ive ever been there (living 12000 miles away doesnt help), I do however seem to know the place already.

PM and WH come next, followed by PP. I think the timothy element very good in PP.

My least fav are ML and PD, and a close look at my collection shows that they havent been read an awful lot. WDMTGTS is my 3rd least fav (if that makes sence) I dont know why , but there have been many family discussions/arguements over this one.


I agree that in reality, there are no "bad arthur ransome books.
