I agree with other repsonses about the Ds and Dick in particular, and Tom in CC & BS. On reflection it seems to be that the additional characters (not S or As) or more interesting and on occasions better written, more 'filled out'. Perhaps when in AR got into his stride writing the post SA & SD books he could concentrate on charachter development(!) That sounds so.. but I'm sure you all get what I mean.
