Although I know "coming the raw prawn" is supposed to be an Aussie expression, I have never heard any Aussie use it, ever (and I've been one for over half a century. This is not to say that no Aussie has ever used it, of course.)
But I did once see it ascribed to an Aussie in The Cruel Sea, written as we all know by noted Pommy author Nicholas Monsarrat.
So I reckon it's a Pommy expression, and you guys are coming the raw prawn with us Aussies.
