....include deinstallation and rebooting? And if there's not a removal utility, perhaps you could relocate the files elsewhere temporarily, so the computer can't find them during the reboot. You'll probably get an error message which you'll have to turn off, but the program itself shouldn't load, and therefore won't be in a position to interfere with anything else.
