I am totally fascinated by these discussions. When I read the series (which I noticed someone called the "Saga") in 1949, I had a National Geographic map of Englad which I tried to search out the sites where the stories took place. I was amazed and delighted that I could find the actual places the action took place in "Coot Club" and the Norfolk Broads books. I figured "Swallows and Amazons" (see, no abreviations - yet!) took place on Windermere, but my maps were too general. I am learning a lot about the geography of the actual Lake District (or is it LD?). Maybe that is what I should do with my EM (Extra Money !!??). I say, keep up the interesting dialog!!! EA
