I don't know whether other readers of BS and GN were inspired to take up photography by Dick's actions in those books (and in particular by the excitement of developing and printing your own photos as explained so vividly in BS), but I certainly was. I suspect that one of the things that we can do quite easily is to share on the web the results of this inspiration - once I get my darkroom working again after moving back to Australia from the UK, I will be putting some of my photos up. Perhaps we should establish a website for PHOTARS? Any interest?
