It seems to me that the only way to settle this is for someone to try to build it! Perhaps this could be a "Global Challenge" with TARS throughout the world competing for the honour...To claim the prize (the right to say "I told you so"), the mechanism must be installed in a real pigeon coop and activated by the resident birds.
