There was an item in the Radio Times dated 19-25 April 1997 which I saved.
Following successful adaptations of such children's classics as 'The
Borrows' and 'The Famous Five, next of the list for TV treatment is
Arthur Ransome's SWALLOWS AND AMAZONS. Richard Carpenter who scripted
'The Borrowers' is developing the project with screenwriter Andrew
Morgan, whose credits include BBC1's 'The Prince and the Pauper'.
