Maurice Griffith's 1930ish book Magic of the Swatchways has recently been republished. It is a series of accounts of sailing on the East Coast of England, and includes a romantic, evocative description of sailing up Hamford Water (Secret Water) as well as describing a crossing to Holland in rough weather. This book is well written and adds atmosphere to AR's stories.
