Don't think it was the same John Walker! Wrong age and I don't think OUR John would do any thing dishonest! But, I have always wondered what they would be like as adults, and at the time I read the books, Roger would have been about 27 or so, and I imagined he, if he survived WW2, (in my imagination, he DID survive WW2) would still have that spark of adventure, and would be a fun companion for a curious 11 year old.
