I have no idea who Peter Roche is, nor do I care. I am interested in Arthur Ransome in general and the S.A series in particular.I could not care less about Mr Roche's ideas of how English should be spoken or written. Perhaps he should take the advice from John to Roger:"No secret cheekiness."
