The Omnibus programme in question was 50 minutes long and was on BBC2
on December 22. It was described as a re-edited version of a programme
first shown in 1988 but I had not seen it before. There was also a
one-hour programme about Tolkien in the South Bank Show series on the
channel now known as ITV1 on December 16. Both programmes were
obviously timed to coincide roughly with the release of the film and
a lot of the same people were interviewed in both.

In addition, the Awfully Big Adventure series is being repeated this
week on the BBC Knowledge channel, which I don't have, beginning with
Tolkien on December 24, Grahame on 25, Ransome on 26 etc, each
programme shown twice in one day, at 1100 and 1910 GMT.
