It's been quite gratifying to see Swallows & Amazons mentioned as favorite or newly discovered reading matter in a couple of our local publications over the summer break. After so long, Ransome may at last become one of the authors such as Tolkien and Lewis who have been perennial favorites for over half a century. I guess it really depends on the publishers now - will they or won't they market Ransome as someone worth the reading?
