This is probably not going to be of much help to jen, but I'll mention anyway two articles based on talks given to the Arthur Ransome Society's Second Literary Weekend in 1993 - 'What Russia Did for Arthur Ransome' by Hugh Brogan, and 'Arthur Ransome's Journalism' by Paul Foot. These transcripts were at one time on the TARS Bookstall but are now sold out (I've just checked). Jen might just know a member of TARS who might have them . . .
