I agree, esp re WD one of my favourites. I also think the film unjustly criticised. It is one of the few films that does at least keep to most of the book and characters script. The original LOTF being another.
Would WD be so hard to make as a film? Period boats being fairly "easy" to come across and the set being "small" esp with blue screen backing?
Just a thought. Be a good one to do as a television special!
