yes, i always thought that bigland was at the foot of the lake.
i also assumed that tea bay was somewhere near shark bay by the way that the amazons described where they were.
My editions of the series (all J Cape and all between 1968 and 1974) have what I would describe as very accurate and appropriate maps, the only real question mark as I say is Cache Island.
