Well, after the beer drinkers hi jacked this line with their commercial adverts, perhaps its time to get back to the start of the thread. Obviously, the lake water is not good enough to drink these days and may have been even worse before environmental legislation. I notice that the Thames is much cleaner and also that some of the rivers in South Wales that used to be black with coal dust are now running with salmon again after over 100 years. That said, I saw an advertisement in a camping magazine for water purification tablets and wondered if these work.
