David Brooks, like all the rest of us marooned on the wrong side of the Pond,
can now take heart. Unless a confirmed masochist, he need never again endure
another 'Baywatch' re-run. Through the good offices of Auntie Beeb (a
Certificated First Class Aunt if ever there was one), the transcripts for the
'Bookworm' programmes are available on-line, along with a wealth of supplementary
material. While the script of the 17 August programme has not yet been posted,
AR's biographical sketch and 'fact file' are already available.
I hope Mr Brooks' aggro is now sensibly diminished.
