Eric,
Cannot speak from experience about school drawing courses in the twenties
and thirties, but in 1946 and 1947 I won five drawing certificates
from the Royal Drawing Society while I was at school. Simple drawing
was taught at my grammar school in England at any rate, and I see no
reason why it should not have been before the war.
