Swallows and Amazons was broadcast on 8th and 15th August 1999 (All right, perhaps not that recent). It was based on David Wood's screenplay for the 1974 film, but introduced the novel idea of using an elderly Titty as the narrator. It seemed to work, but I did wince when she said something like "Of course, nowadays we would have worn life-jackets"!
