Following some earlier discussion on TARBOARD, I'm happy to announce
that the complete text of E.F. Knight's Sailing of 1889,
complete with all 54 diagrams is now on the Literary Pages.
It has struck me that the interest of the text might be considerably
increased if the information/advice in Knight could be cross-referred
to those places in AR's books where it is relevant - eg. the use of
the lead-line (chapter 12 in Sailing to chapter 2 in Great Northern?)
or the technique of swinging a boat (chapter 12 in Sailing to
chapter 11 in Racundra). Further examples suggested by Tarboarders
would be welcome!
