My pet hate is the misuse of words while trying to be correct, in particular the use of alleged. For example
"The alleged collision was caused by Mr X."
No. The collision was allegedly caused by Mr X.
Ocassionally you can't see the news because of the allegations!
"The alleged collision was allegedly caused allegedly by the alleged Mr X allegedly.
