Mr Dixon is one of my favourite characters precisely because he says next to nothing. We don't all of us rattle on a great deal in front of people we don't know very well and its nice to see the shyer character well-represented in the books. I quite like Dee and Dum for a similar reason even though some might consider them a bit TOO passive...

AR does, from time to time, have quite a surprising number of characters on the go at once and - almost always - he manages them brilliantly. Occasionally this can lead to someone being surprisingly silent at a gathering while the leads discuss the things that matter, but my suspicion is that class is not a factor therein.
