I fully agree with David. In my pre- and early-teens I spent many days with my oldest brother on Derwent Water (only in a rowboat, alas) visiting the various islands and claiming them for ourselves. Unfortunately, our natives wouldn't allow us to camp out -- even if we had had the equipment. I wonder if that was innate islandophilia, or the influence of AR?
