Today's pictures of the Lakes on the Lakeland Cam include Bank Ground Farm (Holly Howe), Brantwood, Ruskin's house, with a fine picture of the exterior of a room that to me resembles the North Pole, see the picture. This is part of the house not freestanding but you can imagine the old man sitting there watching the lake as described in Winter Holiday. Also the Gondola under full steam. This is one of the models for Captain Flint's houseboat.
