I hadn't seen any reference in the Yachting Press to Brian's new book Racundra's Third Cruise until I picked up my March edition of Practical Boat Owner today.

PBO carries a resoundingly good review of the book by "AS" (Andrew Simpson, the magazine's Associate Editor.)

Andrew starts his review with the words,

I blame Arthur Ransome entirely for all the years I've wasted sailing.

and he finishes it by saying,

This is no ordinary yarn. For anyone interested in the early days of cruising, it's compulsive enough. For anyone who first set sail with the Swallows and Amazons, it's an absolute must.

I wonder just how many people there are who owe their love of small ships and sailing to AR's books?

Racundra's Third Cruie is clearly a book I need to read.

Muzeltov, Brian.
