I remember reading in 'Capn. flints Trunk,' or Brogan's excellent biography, that Susan Altounyan was disappointed with the way her character had been tinkered with to provide these unsupervised children with a mother figure. She claimed the reality was somewhat different. Taqui was also a bit dsmayed to see that she had changed sex and become a John!
