I suspect that before we - as TARS - consider this possibility in depth, we need to know what the position is with AR's executors. Having myself written a small piece for a TARS publication on "Why Dorothea Blushed" (see Big Six) in which I invented some possible dialogue between the characters, I was informed that this might cause problems with those responsible for AR's interests. I was delighted to find that it "got through", but this was only a "tiddler" compared with the major task of completing CITN. A further question: apart from Hugh Brogan's published version, are there any further plot ideas for the book in AR's notebooks? To fill out the book to novel length, more things need to happen, and I think there would be a reluctance on the part of any "finisher" to invent episodes that did not originate in AR's ideas.
